CANNES — Hong Kong and Amsterdam-based international sales house Fortissimo Films has picked up world rights outside Scandinavia to Icelandic comedy “Country Farm.”Pic, which is lensing, revolves around two busloads of guests at an out-of-town wedding ceremony. It is directed by Valdis Oskarsdottir, editor of “Festen,” the Danish hit that was also set at a family reunion. It stars many members of the Vesturport theatrical troupe. Cinematography is by Anthony Dodd Mantle (“The Last King of Scotland,” “28 Days Later”). “Farm” is produced by a trio of local production houses Mystery Island, Duo Prods. and Ave Prods. with the deal brought to Fortissimo through New York-based co-producer Jim Stark.
