Company licensed the Juliette Binoche starrer to Cafe Groove for Japan, Sponge for South Korea, Notro Films for Spain, AE Film for Turkey, Rosebud for Greece, Casablanca for Brazil, Madman Entertainment for Australia, Gutek for Poland and Filmmuseum and Lumiere for Benelux . Pic was sold Tuesday to IFC Films for North America.
Bac Films pre-bought French rights to the French-Taiwanese co-production. Playdates are not yet skedded. Films Distribution’s co-chief Nicolas Brigaud-Robert said he expects to close further deals in Blighty and Quebec within the next day.
