‘Buddha’ travels to North America

Zeitgeist to handle theatrical release

New York’s Zeitgeist Films is to give tough love documentary “Buddha’s Lost Children” a theatrical release in North America following a deal with international sales agent Fortissimo Films.

Film about a monk who provides health, education and other care services to the poor in Thailand is already a hit on the festival scene. It played at AFI, IDFA and Vancouver and Leipzig events.

Movie, helmed by Martin Verkerk, was acquired jointly with Netflix’s Red Envelope unit, which will release it on DVD.
