Warner’s made-for-DVD arm has hired two production execs to oversee the studio’s ramped up slate of straight-to-disc titles tying into existing brands or pics.
Warner Premiere named Matt Bierman as production VP and Jon Kuyper as VP of physical production.
Bierman is charged with building a long-term strategy for the division, created last summer. He replaces Geoff Shaevitz, who recently departed for a post at investment bank Houlihan Lokey.
Bierman worked on straight-to-disc fare for Paramount and co-wrote and exec produced “The Grand,” directed by Zak Penn and starring Woody Harrelson.
Kuyper has held production posts at outfits including Playboy and Bauhaus Entertainment Group. He’s served as freelance line producer on more than 40 movies, including “Employee of the Month” and DVD made-fors “Bring It On: All or Nothing” and “The Sandlot: Heading Home.”
