‘Southland Tales’ opens Nov. 9

Samuel Goldwyn Films will release writer-director Richard Kelly’s “Southland Tales” in U.S. theaters on Nov. 9 in partnership with Destination Films and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group. The film, Kelly’s follow-up to his cult hit “Donnie Darko,” is set in Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as the city stands on the brink of social, economic and environ-mental disaster.
