Screen Gems buys ‘Tomorrow’

Screen Gems has pushed the button on “Armageddagain: The Day Before Tomorrow,” a spoof from director Robert Moniot, based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Travis Oates. Sony’s budget label picked up North American rights to the film, which sends up disaster movies ranging from “Armageddon” and “Independence Day” to “Transformers” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Production is expected to begin in August for release next year.
