Former GoTV chief takes reigns at startup

NEW YORK — NextMedium, a startup that built an online auction and tracking service for TV product placements, has named former GoTV Networks chief David Bluhm as CEO.

Company founder Hamet Watt remains chairman.

“David Bluhm has a track record of successes in growing startups through high-value IPOs and acquisitions,” Watt said.

NextMedium developed an online system, Embed, that standardizes product placements in TV, films and videogames. Producers post sponsorship opportunities on a secure site, and potential sponsors bid on the placement.

The company linked with Nielsen earlier this year to provide a tracking service that measures the impact of a placement, called Place*Views.
