AMEC to give Microsoft VP Founder's Award

Blair Westlake, VP of the media and entertainment group at Microsoft, will receive the Assn. of Media and Entertainment Counsels’ honorary Founders’ Award. Westlake was selected for the nod in recognition of his standing as one of the top innovators on traditional entertainment creation, evolving distribution platforms and the interplay between entertainment and technology.

“Blair Westlake, with legal roots and training, has distinguished himself as a longtime media and entertainment industry leader who has given a tremendous amount to his employers and colleagues,” said AMEC co-founder Bill Simon.

Kudo will be presented at a gala dinner Friday at the 9900 Club in Beverly Hills.
