CES hires senior advisor for show

Consumer Electronics gala to kick off in January

The Consumer Electronics Assn. has hired Nick Orfanopoulos as senior advisor to the 2008 CES international show next month in Las Vegas.

Orfanopoulos served for more than 20 years with the National Assn. of TV Program Executives, rising to senior VP of Natpe’s conference operations and sales. IN the CES job, he’ll focus on “exhibits, speakers and special events” at the CES show, said Karen Chupka cq, senior VP of events and conferences for the association. The CES show runs from Jan. 7 to 10.

The Orfanopoulos Group said it “provides strategic business development, marketing and sales services to the tradeshow and association community.”
