New 'Care Bears' to premiere in September
CBS and DIC Entertainment, the supplier of content for the Eye’s Saturday-morning kidvid slate, on Wednesday unveiled their fall lineup for the 2007-08 season.
The three-hour block of educational and informational programming will be comprised of six shows.
New series to preem in September include “Care Bears,” about colorful bears who use belly badges to help thwart evil plots; “Sushi Pack,” which follows five crime-fighting pieces of sushi that protect Bento Bay from diabolical villains; “I Was a High School Dinosaur,” about five teens who suddenly gain the power to transform into dinosaurs; and “Strawberry Shortcake,” which follows the title character and her friends. “Shortcake” will make its broadcast television debut.
The slate also includes returning live-action reality series “Cake” and CGI/traditional animation mix “Horseland.”
