Arrangement involves Internet rights

Anytime, an Singapore-based Asian-Pacific VOD service, has expanded a deal with NBC U’s international TV arm to include subscription VOD rights in the region to an unspecified number of the studio’s movies.

The arrangement also involves Internet distribution rights and adds two territories, India and China. No financial details were forthcoming.

Among the movies are “Children of Men,” “The Holiday” and “The Good Shepherd” as well as the upcoming “Evan Almighty” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.”

Anytime is one of Asia Pacific’s higher profile VOD services delivering content over IPTV, broadband and digital cable nets.

Given that backers include Warners, Sony and Fox, it’s not surprising it has output deals with those three players, as well as with NBC U and Disney. The company is also backed by a Singapore’s YTC, Aussie bank Macquarie and Intel Capital.
