Toliver new prod’n VP at Fox Animation

Executive to report to Morrison

Twentieth Century Fox Animation has named Karen Rupert Toliver VP of production.

Toliver will report to Fox Animation prexy Vanessa Morrison. She’ll focus on the development and production of animated projects, replacing John Cohen.

Previously, Toliver was production exec at Disney Feature Animation on “Brother Bear,” “Chicken Little” and “Meet the Robinsons”; she also brought book “The Frog Princess” to the Mouse.

Earlier, she was VP at James Pentecost Prods., focusing on developing family properties for both film and television, including the “Roger Rabbit” sequel. Toliver began her career as an assistant to producer Julia Dray at Disney, working on the “Mighty Ducks” franchise.

Toliver most recently helped develop the “Curious George” franchise for Universal.
