TOKYO — TV Bank, the video contents arm of Internet/mobile communications giant Softbank, and toon maker and distrib GDH have joined forces to offer anime on a Yahoo! Streaming channel, the companies announced on Thursday.
Called “Horror & Urban Legend Fest,” the channel will stream horror and suspense content during the summer, including viewer-submitted videos of scary stories, maps to haunted houses and a “find your horror character” game.
The GDH and TV Bank contribution will be 12 anime programs from GDH group company Gonzo and other toon houses, as well as from indie toon makers.
All contents will be free, though online ads will invite visitors to explore fee-based contents on Yahoo! Streaming.
GDH and TV Bank plan to use the channel as a first step to further anime-related collaborations on the Yahoo! Japan site.
