Children’s programming group EM.Entertainment has inked an extensive video-on-demand rights deal with German VOD and online DVD rental platform Glowria.
The two-year agreement includes local classics such as “Hello Spencer,” “Emil and the Detectives” and “The Flying Classroom” as well as fairytale adaptations of “Snow White” and “Cinderella.”
The content will be part of Glowria’s new VOD offering in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Glowria offers its VOD as a B2B service via telecommunication companies, Internet service and cable network providers, IPTV platforms and operators of e-commerce portals.
EM.Entertainment managing director Susanne Schosser said the deal “facilitates our presence on further high-traffic portals.”
EM.Entertainment recently acquired a stake in U.S.-based VOD platform Kabillion and has sought partnerships with other international media companies for diverse distribution outlets.
