'Katakune' to get wider play

“Katakune,” a Chinese-Singaporean toon series, is set to get wider play following a deal between Singapore’s Character Farm and Spain’s Neptuno Films.

The preschool series about a silkworm and his friends is skedded to be completed by October. It is co-produced by Character Farm and Wogee Toons.

Neptuno will handle all licensing and merchandising outside Asia and North America. Licensing in those territories will be handled by Singapore’s Six-Six-Eight with merchandise handled by Brand Elite Licensing in the greater China region.

Broadcasters already onboard include CCTV for China, YoYo TV for Taiwan and Shin Broadband in Thailand.
