As the Los Angeles Times reported, presidential hopeful Rudolph Giuliani is mining California for support, with visits this weekend to Sacramento and Silicon Valley for the California Republican Party convention and a series of fund raisers.
What the story didn’t mention is that he will be back in Los Angeles on March 5, once again to raise money for his exploratory committee as he did last week at the home of Bill Simon. The $2,300-per-person event will be at the Brentwood home of Rockwell Schnabel, former ambassador to the European Union, and his wife, Marna Schnabel, but it’s expected to attract a number of donors from entertainment. Among the co-chairs is Brillstein-Grey CEO Jon Liebman, with writer-producer Lionel Chetwynd and actor John O’Hurley among the co-hosts.
The former New York mayor also has garnered support from the former Los Angeles mayor, Richard Riordan, who is among the honorary chairmen.
