Right now on eBay, someone is selling a T-shirt that reads on front, “I Survived the Writers Guild Strike 1988.”
The shirt currently has three bids, and is going for $15.50. According to the seller:
One of a kind, never worn, stored in zip lock plastic all these years, in pristine condition, an incredible collectible for a screenwriter or screenwriter-in-training. White Fruit of the Loom shirt, short sleeved, 100% preshrunk cotton, size L, made in the USA. Graphic on the front includes an image of an old manual typewriter — the way we USED to write screenplays! Text on front says “I survived the Writer’s Guild Strike 1988; Let’s Do Lunch Again.” This is truly an exclusive opportunity, whether you’re on strike or not.
Love the classic typewriter image on front. I imagine a “I Survived the Writers Guild Strike 2007” shirt will either feature the image of a computer screen or iPod.
