Company buys 50% of Swedish production house
STOCKHOLM — As part of its expansion into local-language production, Nordisk Film has bought 50% of Swedish prodco S/S Fladen.
Nordisk will sell the company’s projects on the international market and handle distribution in the Nordic countries.
S/S Fladen, founded by Patrick Ryborn, with helmers-scriptwriters Mans Herngren and Hannes Holm, makes features and commercials.
The company was one of the three co-owners of ill-fated Astoria Cinemas, which went bankrupt earlier this year.
Nordisk already has cooperation deals with Swedish production companies Tre Vanner, Illusion Film, Hepp Film and Bob Film.
