Exec was VRT CEO
LONDON — Tony Mary, who was fired as CEO of Belgian pubcaster VRT last September, has been appointed chairman at Brussels-based audio archive specialist Memnon.
Mary left VRT last September after a dispute with the Flemish government over the future of a popular TV police drama came to a head.
Memnon said it hoped Mary’s “extensive managerial experience” would help the company continue to expand in Belgium and Europe.
The company, which specializes in digitizing, restoring and preserving audio archives, currently has operations in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway and Britain.
