Gov wants insight into new umbrella group

The government on Tuesday asked for industry feedback on the powers for its new umbrella film authority, to be called Screen Australia.

Body, announced in an overhaul of subsidies this year, will replace the Australian Film Commission, Film Finance Corp. Australia and Film Australia. “Screen Australia will herald in a new era in film and television production in Australia, in which the government will invest an additional A$300 million ($248 million) over four years,” said Arts Minister George Brandis.
