CME first quarter revenues up 24%

Operating income up $3.1 million

Spurred by the streamlining of local production costs and the further consolidation of Central European Media Enterprises, the Bermuda-based CME web has announced a net revenues boost of 24% over the first quarter of 2007 to $147.9 million.

Operating income for the quarter is up $3.1 million to $19.3 million.

Unlike last year, the results factor in Slovakia’s Markiza, and growth should be up 35% more next year, said CME topper Michael Garin.
