Bradley Bell, head writer and exec producer of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” might be expected to be particularly conflicted about the strike: His family’s Bell Prods. owns the soap opera and, as such, Bell was on strike against himself.
“I’m letting other producers deal with negotiations and running the show,” Bell said on the picket line outside CBS, adding that he didn’t have to think about joining it. “I totally sympathize with the writers on this,” he said. “I don’t think it’s unreasonable what we’re asking for.” — J.A.
