Blueprint takes Oasis stake

Move part of co.'s global expansion strategy

Canuck TV production company Blueprint Entertainment has taken an undisclosed stake in distrib Oasis Intl.

During a relationship that’s spanned five years, Oasis has handled international distribution for Blueprint properties such as “Iggy Arbuckle” and “Kenny vs. Spenny.”

Blueprint’s move into the international distribution biz is part of its strategy toward global expansion. Besides distributing its own shows, the Oasis move will help Blueprint chase distrib rights to other shows in Canada and abroad. The company, behind such shows as “Whistler” and “The Best Years,” recently acquired significant coin from Robert Lantos and Jeff Sagansky.

Oasis will continue to be run by prexy Peter Emerson. John Morayniss and Noreen Halpern are the two principals behind Blueprint.
