A Shanghai court has ruled against a local DVD retail outlet for a second time for copyright infringement and ordered the defendant to pay damages of $23,245 to members of the Motion Picture Assn.

Shanghai Le Ying DVD was found guilty by the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court of copyright infringement for selling pirated versions of movies and ordered to pay damages and costs to four MPA member companies.
