Tatum dances to new career

Oscar-winner Tatum O’Neal (“Paper Moon”), who makes her dancing debut on “Dancing with the Stars,” happily admits to me, “I am looking to change my career — and this was tremendous fun.” (Her partner on “Dancing with the Stars” was professional dancer Nick Kosovich). Tatum has appeared on FX’s “Rescue Me” but says “I want to show my comedic side. I want people to see another me. And I want to work more — I am the mother of three who are now off to school and I can travel wherever to work.” (She lives in New York — but is in Hollywood regularly). Tatum is developing a series with writer Jeff Stillson.

On hand to cheer Tatum on her “Dancing” debut were Griffin O’Neal, his daughter Dillan and fiancée Joanne Berry, and Garrett O’Neal. No, not Ryan O’Neal — he and Tatum are still not on speaking terms although he tells me, “I love her very much.”
