A change of locations

The wedding invitation revealed a change in the wedding site for Hugh O’Brian (aka Charles Krampe, also Wyatt Earp) and Virginia Barber (aka Virginia Louise Stumpf).

O’Brian had told me (and I dutifully told you) they were to wed June 25 at the Gene Autry Museum of the American West in L.A.

The date remains unchanged but the venue’s switched to the Hall of the Crucifixion & Resurrection in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.

The increased number of guess forced the move, says Hugh. And his bride to be notes that her parents and grandparents are buried nearby in the park. Hugh adds that Spencer Tracy, Errol Flynn and the Lone Ranger, Clayton Moore, are also nearby.

The larger hall will also accommodate a concert grand piano, sez Hugh, for a wedding program piano concerto to be performed by Christiane Schweitzer Engel, grand-daughter of Albert Schweitzer, who inspired O’Brian to launch his international Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Organization.

And oh yes, the wedding invitation also invites us to: “Join ‘ole Wyatt’ and Virginia as they ride off into the sunrise!!”
