Neville to sing Anthem at Super Bowl

The National Anthem will be sung pre-Super Bowl Game, Feb. 5 at Ford Field by Aaron Neville whose New Orleans home was damaged by Katrina. Detroit’s Stevie Wonder plus young performers John Legend and Joss Stone will star in the 10-minute pre-show produced-directed by Don Mischer who also produces (along with Charlie Hakel and Juliane Agner) and directs the half-time show.

Mischer says the opener will honor both our men and women in service globally as well as the “brave survivors of Katrina” who are rebuilding their lives and cities.

The Rolling Stones will star in the half-time show directly from the playing field where a 56-piece, 117′- long stage is erected/dismantled in six-minute segs by a crew of 350 — in front of 3,000 fans — brought on/off the field for the 24 min. show. Stars of the half time Super Bowl show work for free. (Last year, you recall the star was Paul McCartney from Jacksonville, Florida).
