Mother Dolores — Dolores Hart — will make a return to the theater during her “Hollywood Homecoming.” We earlier told you she’s to be honored by the Neuropathy Association April 3 at the BevWilshire — her first visit back to L.A.since she entered the Abbey Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, Conn. 43 years ago. In addition, on April 2, Mother Dolores willl attend the matinee performance of “If You Get To Bethlehem, You’ve Gone Too Far” at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks. The play is Mariette Hartley’s one-woman show based partially on her book “Breaking The Silence.” Hartley bookends the show with her visit to Mother Dolores at the Abbey where she seeks advice on her troubled family legacy — suicide, alcoholism, depression, etc. In Hartley’s tangled journey to the Abbey in Bethlehem where she meets, talks with Dolores, Hartley also revisits eleven characters from her life. Mother Dolores (actress Dolores Hart) is no stranger to theater. She starred on B’way at the Longacre in “The Pleasure of his Company for 364 performances, Oct.1958 – Oct.1959.
