From the headlines

As today’s headlines blare the never-ending Palestinian-Israeli drama, a personal story of two friends — one an Israeli, the other a Palestinian — is coming to the stage.

“Faces of War,” by award-winning writer Stephanie Liss (“Hidden in Silence”) will be staged July 10 by the 92nd Street Y and BIMA-LA.

It is inspired by a real story and Liss researched the story’s background — so far as to an interview with Yasir Arafat. And Liss wanted her play to balance the Rachel Corrie story.
