Zodiak signs for Russian stake

World Brief

Nordic TV format distributor Zodiak Television World’s Russian company TeleAllians has acquired an 80% stake in Russian drama production outfit TeleRoman.

The deal continues Zodiak’s expansion into eastern Europe.

It strengthens TeleAllians’ position as one of Russia’s leading production companies by adding drama to its roster of entertainment/reality shows and factual programs.

With a turnover of $2.5 million in the past 18 months, TeleRoman will produce soaps, miniseries and sitcoms.

Copenhagen-based Zodiak runs production outfits in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia and Poland.
