A Spanish-language station caught the major networks taking a siesta Sunday, reaching the top spot in the New York total day ratings race.
Taking advantage of the post-sweeps repeats, Univision 41 (WXTV) cruised to first place in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, according to Nielsen’s Local People Meter. Total day ratings wins are the first for Univision in any key demos since the inception of the LPM ratings.
The Univision station capped 54,000 Gotham viewers aged 18-34 on an average quarter-hour basis; Tribune’s WPIX was second with 39,000 viewers. In the 18-49 demo, Univision led with 101,000 viewers, followed by WABC with 97,000.
