Prod'n house sets up Warsaw-based Euro TV
Spanish light entertainment production house Grupo Europroducciones has set up Warsaw-based TV operation Euro TV Poland.
This coincides with the launch of Europroducciones-produced dating show “The Club” in primetime on Polish commercial channel Tele 5.
Europroducciones also is in talks to buy a stake in a Polish TV production company.
Controlled by Spanish publishing giant Grupo Vocento through its Veralia holding, Europroducciones owns subsids in Portugal (Protint) and Italy (Europroduzione).
Last year, it announced an alliance with Italo pubcaster RAI for the acquisition, production and distribution of high-end TV contents.
“The Club,” a format created by Italy’s company Neo Network, is Europroducciones’ second incursion into the Polish TV market after adapting successful German gamer “Wetten Dass” (You Bet) for pubcaster TVP 2 in September.
Renamed “Zalop sie” for Poland, contest returns to TVP 2 for a second season in March. It is co-produced by Euro TV Poland and local shingle Rochstar.
