Sony Pictures Television Intl. has acquired Asian format rights for five gameshows from Blighty’s 12 Yard Prods.

Agreement covers “Beg, Borrow or Steal,” “No Brainer,” “In It to Win It,” “Eggheads” and “Dirty Money,” which have aired on BBC or Sky channels in the U.K. SPTI will repackage and offer them to Asian broadcasters.

Company delivered similar format deals for “The Gong Show,” “That’s My Stuff,” “Chain Reaction,” “Fotoplay” and “You’re Hired” in Indonesia; “Dragons’ Den” in India; “Gong Show” and “You’re Hired” in Thailand; and “Pyramid” in Vietnam.

Separately, SPTI will deliver a version of its “Blackjack Bowling” to TV auds in Singapore. Retitled “Lucky Star,” 130 episodes of the unscripted-gameshow format, which has been shown in Taiwan since mid-2005, will run on News Corp.’s Star Chinese channel and on the StarHub pay platform.
