LONDON — U.K. indie Outline Productions, maker of “House of Tiny Tearaways,” has signed a development, distribution and co-production deal with BBC Worldwide.
Move is part of the pubcaster’s commercial arm’s attempt to transform its activities via strategic partnerships with key indies.
Under the terms of the two and a half year deal, Worldwide has first call on distributing Outline’s finished programs.
Additionally, BBC Worldwide’s production offices in Los Angeles, and its in-house production teams in Blighty, will have first refusal to co-produce international versions of Outline’s formats.
Outline already produces for TLC and other Discovery channels, and has made a U.S. version of “House of Tiny Tearaways” for TLC entitled “House of Tiny Terrors”.
