NBC U expands ‘House’ sales

Skein sold to local b'cast nets in 80% of country

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold drama series “House” to local broadcast stations in more than 80% of the country for weekend double runs starting in fall 2008.

Skein has been sold to station groups including Fox, CBS, Tribune, Sinclair and Clear Channel. Stations lined up for “House” in syndication include WNYW-TV New York, KTTV-TV Los Angeles, WFLD-TV Chicago, KPIX-TV San Francisco and WXIN-TV Indianapolis. Deals include double runs in all markets.

Currently in its third season, medical series starring Hugh Laurie as a doctor with a roster of inexplicable cases averages more than 15 million viewers per week.

“House” is from Heel & Toe Films and Bad Hat Harry Prods. in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs, David Shore and Bryan Singer are executive producers.
