NASN launches Polish service

Owners in talks to sell sports channel to Disney

LONDON — NASN, the European channel that specializes in live broadcasts of major American sports, has launched a 24-hour service in Poland.

It’s the latest move in NASN’s rapid expansion across Europe, with a particular focus on the old Eastern bloc. It now reaches over six million homes in 26 countries.

Setanta Sports and Benchmark Capital Europe, which own NASN, are currently in discussions to sell the channel to Disney, which runs the rival ESPN Classics service in Europe.
