Specials will interview Mexican presidential candidates
MIAMI — U.S. feevee MTV Espanol, to be relaunched as MTV Tr3s (tres, or three in Spanish), will simulcast the upcoming MTV Latin America election skein “We Are 30 Million: Conversations With the Candidates.”
MTV Latin America will bow the first of a series of half-hour specials featuring interviews with Mexican presidential candidates, beginning Monday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
MTV news anchor Ilana Sod will put forth questions from Mexican youth and talent such as Natalia Lafourcade, Belanova, and Motel, among others.
Candidates will field questions ranging from “How do you plan to make it easier for young people to get their first job?” to “Have you ever stolen anything” or “Have you ever smoked pot?”
Series takes on candidates alphabetically, beginning with Felipe Calderon and running on consecutive nights, wrapping June 2 with Patricia Mercado.
