Intel funds Anytime for broadband

Anytime, a Singapore-based on-demand channel, has secured an undisclosed investment from Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of the Intel Corp., to launch an on-demand broadband platform delivering Hollywood movies, TV shows, games and musicvideos.

It joins CPE Holdings (Sony), Fox Media Services, Warner Bros. Entertainment, YTC Group (a Singapore-based conglom), the Macquarie Bank Group and Coote/Hayes Prods. as investors in the service, which has carriage deals in Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, and the rights to license into 14 territories in the region.

Anytime licenses on-demand channels to broadcasters, IPTV services, cablers, telcos and broadband ISPs via content deals with 20th Century Fox, Universal, Sony, Warner Brothers, Celestial Pictures, MGM, Becker Entertainment and Icon.
