Swiss company takes 18% stake in German kidvidder
COLOGNE — Swiss media group Highlight Communications intends to up its stake in German kidvidder EM.TV.
Highlight, which also owns German film producer Constantin, has concluded an option agreement aimed at buying the shares of Constant Ventures II Luxembourg, to come into effect on Dec. 1, 2006. The latter holds an 8% stake in EM.TV.
Highlight plans a share swap with Constant, which would give Highlight a 13% stake in EM.TV, with Constant taking shares in Highlight.
EM.TV and Highlight stressed that the deal could prepare the ground for further cooperation. Highlight provides sports content to pay TV platforms Premiere and Arena. EM.TV is the parent of free TV sports weblet DSF.
