Bonne Pioche, the Gallic producer of “March of the Penguins,” is teaming with Amsterdam-based production and distribution company Off the Fence to co-produce TV nature docs.
The first one, hourlong “The Mole,” begins shooting in the Paris region next week and will explore the burrowing mammal’s underground existence.
Discovery U.S.’ Animal Planet and Franco-German channel Arte have taken broadcasting rights. Off the Fence will handle sales in selected territories. The Dutch company has 40 hours of factual programming in production or co-production.
