DirecTV has picked up San Antonio station KTDF, owned by U.S. Hispanic net Azteca America’s affiliate group Una Vez Mas.
Carriage deal is Azteca America’s 17th with DirecTV.
Azteca America also is carried by Comcast Cable and EchoStar’s Dish Latino service and has local cable carriage for most of its 44 over-the-air stations.
Una Vez Mas is Azteca America’s largest affíl group, with a dozen stations across Texas and the Southwest.
Azteca America, subsidiary of Mexico’s No. 2 web TV Azteca, reaches 83% of U.S. Hispanics.
Under chairman Luis Echarte, Azteca America recently moved operations from Mexico City to its flagship L.A. station.
