BBC America announces four new programs

'Soundproof,' 'Clock,' 'Force' to air on channel

BBC America has announced four new programs set to air on the channel starting in January.

In the two-hour thriller “Soundproof” (premieres Jan. 15), when Chris (Neil Stuke) is thrown from a high-rise apartment balcony, his hearing-impaired roommate Dean (Joseph Mawle) becomes the prime suspect. Investigators bring in Penny (Susan Lynch), a sign language interpreter, who unexpetedly develops a romance with Dean.

The reality show “Turn Back Your Body Clock” (Jan. 17) follows Dr. Una Coales who examines someone who has been living a damaging lifestyle and attempts to give the person a lifestyle transformation.

“Feel The Force” (Jan. 19) is a comedy series starring Sally Bobbins (“Green Wing”) and Rosie Cavaliero (“Peep Show”) as two police officers who are too destracted by their male counterparts and too scared of their ill-tempered boss to protect the streets of Edinburgh.

And the series “The Wow Factor” (Jan. 17) highlights the skills of interior decoractor Tara Bernerd. Each week she’ll visist different homes and help the owners makeover a room that needs a serious design change.
