Banff TV fest lauds media mogul

Lepage honored at fest

TORONTO — The Banff World Television Festival has selected Francophone media mogul Guy Lepage to receive the Peter Ustinov Comedy Award.

A producer, director, writer and actor, Lepage is one of Quebec’s most recognized figures. He created the popular Montreal sitcom “Un gars, une fille,” hosts the successful talkshow “Tout le Monde en Parle” and is a founding member of the Quebec comedy troupe Rock et Belles Oreilles.

Award will be presented during the festival, which runs June 11-14.

Past recipients include Barry Humphries, John Cleese, Bob Newhart and Martin Short.
