HONG KONG — The Mouse roared in South East Asia when its TV movie “High School Musical” broke a string of audience records. Aired on the subscription-only Disney Channel on Sunday, the Kenny Ortega-helmed tuner scored a 9.0 rating, twice that of the TV3 free-to-air channel in Malaysia. In Singapore it scored a 10.0, again nearly double that of top free net Central. Audience share of kids under 14 in both territories exceeded 30%. The soundtrack, which was a triple-platinum hit in the U.S., goes on release in the region in July.
