Taste of Napa benefit draws thirsty stars
HOLLYWOOD — Before bidding began at Saturday night’s Taste of Napa benefit for Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation at UCLA, host Jimmy Kimmel tweaked his audience of philanthropic vets. “We’re doing something that we don’t know that has been done before,” he said. “It’s a charity auction where you bid on goods and services.”Among those who came out for the cause were dinner committee co-chairs Walt Disney Co. president-CEO Robert Iger and wife/TV personality Willow Bay; former ABC Entertainment co-topper Stu Bloomberg, multi-hyphenates Mike White and George Lopez and comedienne Sarah Silverman. A trio of wine country chefs prepared the Taste of Napa-themed dinner, hosted by the Regent Beverly Wilshire; the evening concluded with a solo perf from Coldplay front man Chris Martin.
