Separated at Birth: The Black and White Bib Dress

These two dresses seem to be born of the same cloth

Classic and understated these two dresses seem to be born of the same cloth. But don’t be too quick to judge, subtle differences add to a large price gap. Both are knee length, black, cut in a classic silhouette and feature a tie waist. However, the Diane von Furstenberg Maylea shirt dress (Left, $325) is actually the designer’s famous jersey wrap with a pin tuck shirt and cuff inserts while the Viktor & Rolf version (Right, $1,640) is a silk crepe bib on a shift. Both are smart choices for the office, but the stiff collar and pin tucks assure the Diane von Furstenberg remain at work while the Viktor & Rolf is available for drinks. Both at Netaporter.com.
