Oz tunes in for Mouse music

Disney net kidvid wows Aussies

SYDNEY — Disney Channel used its 10th birthday party Down Under to promo the international rollout of its hugely successful all-American kidvid “High School Musical.”

Teen stars of the pic and their families were guests of honor at the May 26 long lunch, overlooking a sparkling Sydney Harbour, hosted by Disney command: Oz topper Michael Cairns, Asia boss Nicky Parkinson and worldwide prexy Rich Ross.

Ross told guests Disney wanted to cast a young Aussie thesp in its upcoming skein “Cory in the House,” a spinoff of “That’s So Raven.”

Skein will be set in an international school, so the multinational cast might need to relocate to the U.S., but they won’t have to lose their accents.
