'The Good Body' preems in L.A.

WHAT: 1,400 Angelinos sought out “The Good Body ” on Feb. 1, as they sat down for opening night of Eve Ensler’s one- woman show.

WHERE: The Wadsworth Theater followed by a 500-person benefit bash at Napa Valley Grille in Westwood.

V FOR VICTORY: Bow doubled as a fundraiser for Ensler’s org, V-Day, which fights violence against women and girls. Roughly $200,000 was drummed up in one sitting.

FAB ABS: While Ensler has moved on to new anatomy with “Body” – her stomach is the star – her prior endeavor, “The Vagina Monologues,” is still on the circuit. “In 1997, I began to spread the vagina virus across the planet,” Ensler said. “There are good viruses. On Feb. 14, 1998, I launched V-Day with one performance. This Valentine’s Day, 1,140 productions will take place from Tennessee to Tanzania. So thank you all for all the money you have given us. Now, please, give us more!”
