It’s delicious, but you don’t buy a Lilyfield Cake for the cake.

Vanilla, chocolate or coconut, Lilyfield’s moist and tender tube cake actually tastes better after three days (if it should last so long). But, it’s the packaging that turns it into a gift. Inspired by a pin-cushion, Lilyfield owner Heather Stewart creates limited-edition handmade hat boxes to hold her tube cakes. The boxes are covered in fabrics like silk and satin and topped with a bouquet of silk flowers; inside, a nosegay of real flowers sits on top of the cake. Yummy.
