Exec new veep of media sales

The Warner Bros. TV Group has promoted Michael Teicher to the new post of executive VP of media sales.

Teicher takes on the job of selling time on all programming distributed by Warners in TV syndication and basic cable. In addition, he’ll sell ads on Warners’ new-media platforms, from Web sites to cell phones to iPods.

Warners’ goal, said Bruce Rosenblum, president of the Warner Bros. TV Group, is for Teicher to “offer clients a one-stop, multi-platform, completely compreshensive approach to their ad buying.”

Teicher was exec VP of media sales for the domestic-TV division of Warners since January 2002, where he supervised the sale of ad time on firstrun syndicated shows such as “The Tyre Banks Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Extra” and “The People’s Court,” and reruns like “Two & a Half Men,” “Friends” and “Will & Grace.”

Before Warners, Teicher had sales-exec posts at Replay TV, Turner Broacasting and Major League Baseball Prods.
